Today was the last day where Michelle and I both lived downtown. You see, Michelle has finished all of her course work for pharmacy and is moving out of rez and back to her parents place. So we spent the afternoon walking around U of T's downtown campus taking pictures of ourselves in front of all the buildings. And then we went for coffee and reminisced about our times downtown and the friends we met. In about a month I will also finish my school work, but I'll probably stay downtown for a while. Getting my life in order and whatnot. By the way if anyone's work force is currently lacking an aerospace engineer give me a ring.
I'm going to take off and wrap some Christmas presents now. I'll see you all soon. BUT FIRST:
Beware the easing calm
of twinkling tinsel on the tree.
Beware the drowsy fumes
of drinks soooo apple cidery.
For killer candy cane cookies
are lurking here-abouts.
Too many years long past
have we ignored their silent shouts.
Always first, we snapped the neck
then chomped through to tender core.
One by one each cookie crumbled
in horrific cookie gore.
And now they're here for vengence
with plans we all should dread.
Lucky for us, they have no arms
and we can swallow them down instead.

Your poem made my day. I usually enjoy them, but today I laughed out loud.
I will ask around regarding the aerospace thing -- Mark's friend Chilly is an engineer who does some pretty cool stuff.
and where are these pictures you speak of?
Jay, you are honestly a talented poet. I'm going to print this one off and pin it up somewhere.
